Penland’s Glass studio has replaced their old color melting furnace with Wet Dog’s latest design. It is a dual 80lb free-standing pot furnace. It has an optional HEPA filtration system that allows for a much safer color charge because it cleans fumes and particulates from the exhaust gases. The FSP-DC80 can melt clear glass in one pot and color in the other one. Also, you can work out of one side while charging the other. Our state of the art control system provides programmable oxidation and reduction atmosphere periods while the heat recuperation allows for maximum fuel efficiency. A list of other benefits and add-ons can be found here. Here are some pictures from the on-site installation.
